Throughout my life, it’s always been me and my mom. She spoiled me which in hindsight probably hindered me. Though she bought me everything I wanted, something always felt empty. I would see kids with their dads and I always wanted to know, where mine went. He left me as a child and I never knew why. My mom always told me he was dead. That was until I met my half-brother. Meeting him was supposed to fill that hole and give me answers, but it only made it worst. My brother is older than me and he lived with us at some point. So our father took Jonas and left, without me, and without my mom.
So I grew up with my mother, my best friend, and then I left her…
“Mom, you’re going to be okay,” Mike-E said as he hugged his mother.
“Don’t worry about me silly, you try and stay safe.”
“You know I will, can’t leave you in this world alone.”
“I know you won’t.” She said as she brushed his hair one last time. She licked her finger and cleaned some dust off his face.
“Oh be quiet.” She said as she hugged him one last time. “I’ll see you later hun.”
“See ya later mom.”
I left her to become the man I am, then the Legions attacked. Only thing I can think of was the one person I had in my life. But who’s fault was it that she was alone?
